Wag ly, Dog Walking

A good walk isn't just exercise.

For your dog it's the highlight of their day — the smells, the sights, the freedom, the fresh air. When life gets busy and the walks get shorter, your dog feels it.

Wagly connects you with trusted local walkers who treat your dog like their own and make every walk count.

Solo walks for dogs who love one-on-one attention, or group walks for social butterflies who love making friends on the go.

Live GPS tracking on every walk · Solo and group walks available · 30 and 60 minute options · Verified and background checked · Photo updates mid-walk · All breeds and sizes welcome.

AUSTRALIA'S FIRST

WHY REGULAR WALKS MATTER

It's not just about burning energy. It's about your dog's whole wellbeing.

Dogs who don't get enough daily exercise and mental stimulation are more likely to develop destructive behaviours at home — chewing, barking, digging, anxiety. A tired dog is a happy dog. A walked dog is a settled dog. Regular professional walks don't just benefit your pup physically. They support your dog's mental health, their socialisation, and their overall quality of life.

For working pet owners, regular midday or afternoon walks are one of the kindest things you can do for a dog who spends time home alone. Breaking up the day with a proper walk reduces anxiety, prevents boredom, and means your dog greets you at the door content rather than frantic.

WALK TYPES

Choose the walk that suits your dog.

Solo walks — 30 or 60 minutes

One walker. One dog. Your dog gets complete, undivided attention for the entire walk. Your walker learns your dog's favourite routes, their pace, their quirks, and their personality.

Solo walks are ideal for dogs who prefer one-on-one time, dogs who are reactive or don't mix well with other dogs, nervous or anxious dogs who do better without the distraction of other animals, large breeds who need a walker's full focus, puppies still learning to walk on lead, and senior dogs who need a gentler, more considered pace.

Group walks — 30 or 60 minutes

Your dog joins a small, carefully matched group of two to four dogs for a sociable walk together. Group walks are a brilliant option for confident, social dogs who love other dogs, dogs who benefit from additional stimulation and canine company, and owners who want their dog to enjoy a social experience as well as physical exercise.

Wagly walkers carefully match group members by size, temperament, and energy level. Your dog will never be put in a group that isn't right for them.

LIVE GPS TRACKING

Watch every step in real time.

Every Wagly dog walk is tracked via live GPS. The moment your walker sets off with your dog, you can scan the barcode and enter the code you have been sent and you can watch the walk unfold on your phone in real time — the exact route, the current location, and the live duration.

When the walk is complete, the map becomes part of your dog's walk history over time and can be useful for conversations with your vet about exercise levels and activity patterns.

This isn't just a trust feature — though it is that too. It's a genuinely joyful experience to watch your dog's walk from your desk and see them zipping around the park while you're in a meeting. Ten seconds of watching that little dot on a map and you'll feel instantly better about your day.

How it works

A great walk, every time. Here's what to expect.

Image

Step 1 — Book your walk

Select your walk type, duration, and preferred time through your Wagly booking. Your walker is confirmed and you receive a booking confirmation immediately.

Image

Step 2 — Your walker arrives

Your walker arrives at the agreed time and collects your dog. For first-time bookings we recommend a meet and greet beforehand so your dog already knows their walker before the first solo walk.

Image

Step 3 — The walk begins

Your walker and your dog head out. You can follow the entire walk in real time on your phone via our live GPS tracking link — see exactly where they are, how far they've walked, and how long they've been out.

Image

Step 4 — Photo updates

Your walker sends you a photo or two during the walk so you can see your dog having the time of their life. Because that's genuinely one of the best things about owning a dog.

Image

Step 5 — Home safe

Your walker returns your dog home, ensures they have fresh water, gives them a post-walk settle, and sends you a completion message with a summary of the walk.

WHAT YOUR WALKER WILL DO

More than just holding a lead.

On every walk your walker will:

Arrive on time and collect your dog warmly and calmly ·

Follow your instructions for route, duration, and any specific requirements ·

Keep your dog safely on lead unless you have specifically agreed off-lead time in a suitable area ·

Monitor your dog's energy, comfort, and behaviour throughout ·

Send at least one photo during the walk ·

Return your dog home, settle them with fresh water, and wipe muddy paws ·

Send a walk completion message ·

Flag anything they noticed during the walk — unusual behaviour, limping, cuts, anything worth knowing

Your walker will never:

Walk your dog off-lead without your explicit permission in writing ·

Walk more dogs than agreed in a group without your prior knowledge ·

Leave your dog unattended during a walk ·

Enter your home beyond the agreed areas without permission

WALK SCHEDULING

Weekly regulars, one-offs, or anywhere in between.

Wagly dog walking works around your schedule, not the other way around. Whether you need a regular walker three times a week, a one-off walk when plans change, or daily walks Monday to Friday while you're at work — the booking system accommodates all of it.

Regular weekly walks

Set up a recurring booking and your walker shows up like clockwork. Your dog gets consistency — the same person, the same time, the same routine — which is enormously beneficial for their confidence and behaviour.

One-off walks

Need a walk just this Tuesday? No problem. Book a one-off walk with as little as 48 hours notice and we'll match you with an available, verified walker near you.

Holiday and school term walks

School holidays, public holidays, and Christmas and New Year periods are some of the busiest times for dog walking. We recommend booking regular walkers ahead of these periods to secure your spot. Our walkers indicate their availability for peak periods so you always know who's available when you need them most.

PERFECT FOR

Dog walking works beautifully for every kind of owner.

Working pet owners

You're at work. Your dog is at home.

A midday or early afternoon walk breaks up the long day, gets the energy out, and means you come home to a settled, happy dog rather than one who has been counting the minutes until you walked in the door.

Busy families

Life with kids, work, school runs, and everything else doesn't always leave room for a proper dog walk every single day.

A regular Wagly walker fills the gaps so your dog never misses out no matter how full the family calendar gets.

Dog owners with mobility limitations

Not every dog owner can physically provide the level of exercise their dog needs. A regular walker gives your dog everything they need physically without putting pressure on you.

Owners of high-energy breeds

Some breeds need more than a stroll around the block. Working breeds, sporting breeds, and high-drive dogs need proper exercise every day — long walks, varied routes, and real physical exertion. A dedicated Wagly walker who understands your breed makes an enormous difference.

Senior dog owners

Older dogs still need walks — gentler, shorter, more considered walks that respect their joints and energy levels. A walker who understands senior dog needs will adapt every walk to what your dog can comfortably manage that day.

Puppies learning to walk

Puppies need consistent, positive lead walking experiences to build good habits. A patient, experienced walker who knows how to handle a puppy on lead is worth their weight in gold during those early months.

SAFETY

Your dog's safety is non-negotiable.

Every Wagly dog walker is verified before their first booking. No exceptions, no shortcuts. Verification includes identity check via a secure ID partner, National Police Check processed through our platform, review of the walker's experience and approach by our team, and personal interview for specialist walk types.

On the walk itself your dog is never left unattended, is never walked in dangerous conditions, and is never part of a group larger than four dogs. Our walkers carry your dog's emergency contact details and your vet's contact information on every walk.

If anything happens on a walk — a small injury, an altercation with another dog, or anything that gives your walker pause — you are contacted immediately and an incident report is logged on your account.

Our walkers also carry: Your dog's full profile including medical notes and vet contact · Your emergency contact details · Their own first aid knowledge and in many cases formal pet first aid certification

Frequently Asked Questions

We understand this is a big decision! Hope we can answer some questions here for you.

How do I know my dog will be safe?

Every walker is verified before their first booking including ID check and National Police Check. Every walk is GPS tracked in real time and you receive photo updates. If anything concerns us or your walker on a walk you are contacted immediately.

What if my dog doesn't like other dogs?

Solo walks are the perfect option for dogs who prefer not to be around other dogs. Just select solo walk when booking and tell us about your dog's needs. Your walker will work with you to find routes and times that minimise exposure to other dogs if that's what your dog needs.

Can my dog walk off lead?

Wagly walkers walk in most weather conditions — your dog still needs their walk in the drizzle! In the case of severe weather — storms, extreme heat, or conditions that could be genuinely harmful to your dog — your walker will contact you and you can decide together whether to proceed, shorten, or reschedule the walk.

Can I book the same walker every time?

Yes and we encourage it. Consistency is genuinely important for dogs. When you find a walker your dog loves, you can book them directly every time. Your dog builds a relationship with their walker over time and the walks get better as a result.

What if my walker is sick or unavailable?

In the rare event your regular walker can't make a walk, we will contact you as early as possible and work to find a suitable replacement. You will always be given the option to reschedule if you prefer to wait for your regular walker.

How do I give my walker access to my home?

Most owners use a key lockbox or provide a spare key for the duration of regular bookings. Your walker will only access the agreed areas of your home — typically the front door and back garden. Everything is documented in your booking notes.

Do you walk all breeds?

Yes. Our walkers have experience across all breeds and sizes. When you book, tell us about your dog's breed, size, and any specific requirements and we'll match you with a walker who has relevant experience.
