Wag ly, In Home Grooming

Why in-home grooming changes everything

No travel stress for your dog

Many dogs find car trips and strange environments genuinely distressing. In-home grooming removes that entirely. Your dog never leaves their safe space.

No waiting in a cage or kennel

At a salon your dog may wait in a kennel for hours before and after their groom. At home, grooming starts the moment the groomer arrives and ends when they leave.

You can be right there

At home you can watch, ask questions, and be involved. Your dog is never out of sight in a place you have not seen. That peace of mind is priceless.

One-on-one attention

Your groomer is there for your dog only. No other dogs in the mix. No distractions. Just calm, focused, professional care from start to finish.

Verified and background checked

Every Wagly groomer has completed identity verification and a National Police Check before their first booking. A real person reviews every application.

Professional equipment, your space

Your groomer brings their own professional clippers, dryers, shampoos, and finishing tools. You provide the space and the hot water. They provide everything else.

In your home — zero disruption · Casual visits from 2 hours · Overnight stays available · Walks & community outings included · Verified & background checked

AUSTRALIA'S FIRST

A full professional groom — in your home

Every Wagly grooming session is a complete service, not a quick wash and dry. Here is what your dog receives:

  • Full bath with professional shampoo and conditioner

  • Breed-appropriate clip or trim

  • Ear clean

  • Eye area clean and tidy

  • Blow dry and brush out

  • Nail trim

  • Paw pad tidy and trim

  • Finishing spritz or cologne if requested

Additional services such as de-shedding treatments, dematting, or breed-specific specialty clips may be quoted individually depending on coat condition and time required.

Especially wonderful for

Elderly pet owners

If getting your dog to a salon is difficult — your mobility, your transport, or just the exhaustion of the trip — in-home grooming removes every barrier. Your groomer comes to you. Your dog stays home. You stay comfortable.

Anxious or reactive dogs

Dogs who struggle in salon environments — with other dogs, strange smells, loud dryers, or unfamiliar handling — often do beautifully in their own home where everything is familiar and calm.

Busy households

Busy households

No driving, no waiting for a call to collect, no rearranging your day around salon hours. Your groomer arrives, does the work, and leaves. You get on with your day while your dog gets groomed.

Who are our groomers?

Not just anyone with a pair of scissors.
Real groomers. Verified professionals.

Every Wagly groomer has been personally reviewed and approved by our team before their profile goes live. They are qualified, experienced, and genuinely passionate about the animals they work with. Here is who they are — and what they bring to your home.

Career professionals

Professionally trained and qualified groomers

Groomers who have trained formally in dog grooming — through a grooming academy, a TAFE program, or an apprenticeship under an experienced senior groomer — and have years of hands-on experience with a wide range of breeds and coat types. They understand breed standards, know how to handle a dog who is nervous on the table, and deliver a finish that looks genuinely professional.

Formal grooming training or certification

Multi-breed experience across coat types

Years of professional practice

Retired professionals

Retired groomers doing what they love — a few dogs a week

Some of our most skilled groomers are people who spent decades in the industry — running salons, working as senior groomers, or operating mobile services — and have stepped back from full-time work but still love the craft. They groom a small number of dogs each week because they genuinely enjoy it. Their experience is extraordinary and their patience with dogs is something that only comes from years of practice.

Decades of hands-on grooming experience

Exceptional patience and calm with all dogs

Deep breed-specific knowledge built over years

In-home specialists

Qualified groomers who come to you — no van, just skill

Qualified groomers who have chosen in-home visits as their working model. They travel to you with their own professional equipment — clippers, dryers, shampoos, scissors, and finishing tools — and work in your home using your space and your water. No mobile van, no salon. Just a skilled professional and a calm, familiar environment for your dog. Many find this is actually a better experience than a salon visit for both dog and owner.

STILL NOT SURE?

Frequently Asked Questions

We understand this is a big decision! Hope we can answer some questions here for you.

How long is a minimum booking??

Our minimum booking is 2 hours per visit. This ensures your pet gets quality, unhurried care rather than a rushed check-in.

Can I book just one visit per day?

Yes for trips up to 4 days. For trips of 5 days or more, an overnight booking is required to ensure your pet has proper around-the-clock care.

What if I need care for more than one pet?

All pets in your home are included in a single booking. Just let us know about every animal when you fill in your booking request so we can find a sitter who is comfortable with all of them.

Can my sitter take my dog for walks?

Absolutely. Walking, park visits, and community outings are all available as part of your pet sitting booking. Just let your sitter know your dog's usual routine and they'll follow it.

Do sitters stay in my home overnight?

For bookings of 5 days or more, yes — your sitter stays in your home overnight. For shorter bookings, daily visits are scheduled throughout the day.

How do I know my home is safe?

All sitters complete a National Police Check and identity verification before their first booking. You also control access to your home — most owners provide a spare key or a key lockbox for the duration of the stay.

Can I meet the sitter before the booking starts?

Yes — and we strongly encourage it. A meet and greet before your first booking lets your pet get comfortable with their new carer in a relaxed, no-pressure setting.
